Sir Mortimer Wheeler excavated the site between 1928 9 and more excavations took place in 1980 1.6. In 1950, Sir Mortimer Wheeler identified one large building in Mohenjo-daro as a " Great Granary ". 7. Various types of stringed instruments and drums have been recovered from Harrappa and Mohenjo Daro by excavations carried out by Sir Mortimer Wheeler . 8. Sir Maurice Bowra and Sir Mortimer Wheeler , along with other academics, gave talks both aboard ship and at various sites visited. 9.
